On Tuesday, May 27th, 2025, the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, Division of Youth celebrated the successful completion of the National Youth Leaders Certification Program with 50 outstanding participants. Graduates enjoyed an inspiring evening as they reflected on their transformative sixteen-week journey. The event featured powerful leadership insights from keynote speakers, Commissioner of Police Shanta E. Knowles and Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, Hon. Mario Bowleg, who encouraged the graduates as they prepare to embark on their next chapter as leaders.
President Sealy also received the Patty Michelle Miller Youth Award for community involvement.

After weeks of passionate speeches, compelling arguments, and unmatched eloquence, it all comes down to this the ultimate battle of words and wisdom! With the theme “185 Years of Courage, Integrity, and Loyalty,” Inspector Darius Sealy gave the winning performance of the night.

On Sunday, February 9th, 2025, officers and their spouses gathered for a special church service at Zion Baptist Church on East and Shirley Street. Following the service, a spousal luncheon was held at Courtyard Marriott Hotel on West Bay Street, offering a time of fellowship and reflection.

The New Providence Battalion Worships at New Destiny Baptist Cathedral



The New Providence Battalion held its first church service at New Destiny Baptist Cathedral, a momentous occasion that also honored the 50th anniversary of the Bahamas Company, as well as the 21st anniversary of Capt. Godfrey Scott's service. Through the years, God has remained faithful, and we continue to be grateful for His unwavering blessings. May His favor shine upon us all.

The 40th Annual Conclave was held from Friday August 16th - Saturday August 17th, 2024 at Grants Town Wesley Methodist under the theme: "Working together toward the common good for God and Country". The scripture for the occasion was 1 Peter 3:8.

The morning of session 2 began with a prayer breakfast. The speaker for this occasion was Captain Jamicko Forde (National Chaplain).

Team Building
Lt. Kendra Sealy (55th Company) facilitated a moving session on Team Building with the officers and boys. Lt. Sealy challenged each member to consider how they could become a more effective member of the BB Team.
The Way Forward
The day concluded with a lively discussion about the current state of the Boys' Brigade and what changes could be made to ensure the continued success of the organization.

Corporal Kevin Pierre excels in Basketball abroad.
Corporal Kevin Jonathan Pierre from 1st Bahamas Company received honors this summer for his basketball and academic achievements while on his trip to Turks and Caicos. He then traveled to Europe for a tournament tour and is doing well. To God Be the Glory great things he has done.

On Saturday June 8, 2024, a Fun-Run-Walk was held in honor of the Late Captain Ekron Pratt (14th Nassau Company). Special thanks to all of the officers, boys, parents and loved ones who supported this initiative. Proceeds from the walk will go towards the construction of the National Brigade Headquarters on Dolphin Drive.

Boys' Brigade pays a Courtesy Call to the Governor General
On Tuesday July 2, 2024, executive members of the Boys' Brigade Bahamas National Council paid a courtesy call to the Governor General, Dame Cynthia Pratt ON GCMG CB CD JP. In attendance were Captain Darius Sealy (National President), Captian Henry Curry II (New Providence Battalion Chairman), and Lieutenant Valerie Butler (National Secretary).

1st Company Celebrates their 81st Anniversary
On Sunday, June 30th, 2024, the 1st Bahamas Company at Grants Town Wesley Methodist Church celebrated 81 years of service in the Boys Brigade. 1st Company is led by Captain Jamicko Forde assisted by Lt. Ricardo McQueen and Lt. Lavell Watson.


National Council Member meet with Prime Minister Davis
Prime Minister Philip Davis KC MP of the Bahamas meets with the National Council of Boys' Brigade on Wednesday May 22nd, 2024, during a courtesy visit discussing various business and the work of BB in the Bahamas with our youth of tomorrow in moving forward, as we (BB) continue to advance Christ kingdom among Boys.
14th Company Rededication Service
On Sunday, June 23rd, 2024, Captain Eric Smith and his team hosted a rededication service at Zion Baptist Church or Shirley Street. The service also doubled as a promotion exercise for Non-Commissioned Officers in the Company.

On Sunday, May 26th, 2024, officers and boys from BB Bahamas visited with the Southside Christian Church International congregation.
BB Grand Bahamas participates in Men's Empowerment March
Captain Henry Curry II, Lieutenant Phil Dorsett, and Lieutenant Alexander Laroda (New Providence) participated in the Men's Empowerment March in Freeport, Grand Bahama. Photographs and Recordings were provided courtesy of Lieutenant Alexander Laroda who was also present on the March.
14th Bahmas Company Walkabout
On Saturday, April 27, 2024, the 14th Company (Zion Baptist) Church hosted a community walkabout in the Centreville constituency visitng homes in the Masons Addition and McCollough Corner area. The company was led by Captain Eric Smith accompanied by Lieutenants Phil Dorsett and Sherlyn Hall.

Enrollment Service of the Uriah McPhee Primary School Unit of Boys' Brigade
On May 2, 2024, the Boys' Brigade Company at Uriah McPhee Primary School (Kemp Road) was officially installed led by Captain Henry Curry II of the 23rd Company (St. Barnabas). Some thirty-plus boys from the school were enrolled and cheered on by BB officers, school administrators, and proud parents.

On Bahamas National Trust National Park day (Earth Day 2024), members of the 23rd Company (St. Barnabas Church) planted mangroves and received education on the marine life habitat in the pond.

Shelton Curtis Jr was selected as the winner in the Senior Division of the Men's Mobilization Speech Competition. Shelton is a member of the 55th Bahamas Company of Boys Brigade at First Baptist Church. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
